After graduating from Hamilton College in New York with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre and Directing in 1988, Dan Kinkade moved to Manhattan to pursue a film and video career in a small production company in SoHo. In 1989, Dan returned to St. Louis to develop his career in production. Ironically, this 42 year old St. Louis native first got into feature films in front of the camera as an actor in Disney's "Back to Hannibal." Once bitten by the "movie bug", from 1989 to 1995, Dan worked in many different capacities of film production from Production Coordinator to First A.D. He also worked as a Location Scout for the St. Louis Film Commission, taking Producers and Designers around the bi-state area for personal tours of film locations. (for more film credits, click left on Resume) In 1995, Dan established himself as a creative and talented location scout and manager. His knowledge and experience in the field gives him a unique ability to interpret a script and visualize the location possibilities for every project in which he is involved. For example, in the 2006 feature film "Meet Bill", Dan managed a team of scouts and secured over 50 locations for the 2 month shoot. In 2007, Dan helped "The Return" secure Lambert International Airport, among other locations, that shot 400 Extras inside security for 6 days. Due to his 20 plus years of experience and his professional manner, Dan developed a strong network of connections that included "film friendly" location owners, security & police contacts, caterers, support services, etc. Last year Dan relocated to Philadelphia and has started a film location database in PA. He is based out of Malvern, PA, approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia, and can provide location services for both downtown Philly and throughout the Main Line and western Philadelphia suburbs. To date, he has location managed over a hundred TV commercials and a dozen features. Give Dan a call for your next film project at 314-607-3456. |
